About the game
What you do in a play session
Ever thought about working for an intergalactic corporation whose sole purpose is... abducting ducks? Well, in Abducktion, you take on the role of an intern aboard a UFO with the scientific mission (very serious, obviously) of collecting Earth's ducks. But it's not just any collection: the company requires ducks to be abducted in specific geometric formations.
The game is a delightful mix of spatial logic and cunning. Each player has their own stream board that can hold up to 10 ducks. The challenge lies in using your action cards to move these ducks — or even mess up your opponent's arrangement — so that the color and position of your ducks match the shared formation cards in the center of the table.
When you successfully assemble the required pattern, congratulations! You abduct those ducks into the UFO, claim the formation card, and clear space to grab new ducks and attempt the next pattern. The game is fast-paced, dynamic, and requires you to think quickly so your opponent doesn't complete the formation before you do. It's the kind of light strategic game perfect for those who want something mentally stimulating without spending three hours reading a manual. The tension of watching your opponent almost complete a pattern while you scramble to rearrange your duck line creates hilarious and competitive moments. If you enjoy puzzle games with direct interaction and an absurd theme, Abducktion is the right choice for your next game night.
