About the game

What you do in a play session

In Midgard: The Card Game, you step into the boots of a Norse Jarl vying for prestige and glory! The goal is to amass the most victory points, achieved through daily minor conquests or legendary deeds that will echo through the nine worlds. To do this, you'll need to assemble your forces by combining troops of the same kind or forming battalions in sequences. Each of the nine worlds, connected by the mystical Yggdrasil, presents its own challenges and rewards, such as gold and victory points. You'll need to open your play area according to each world's difficulty level. Interaction is key: you can use your opponents' cards to clear your hand and optimize your moves. Aesir Cards act as wild cards or bring special effects to hinder rivals, while Elite Cards speed up your hand management. Accumulated gold can be used both to recruit more warriors and to secure extra points at the end of the game. With rules blending strategy, reasoning, and a touch of luck, Midgard is a game for those who enjoy intelligent hand management and building card patterns to dominate the realms.
