About the game
Get ready to connect the dots and build your own cityscape in Connections! In this strategic card game, you'll manage your hand with mastery to play map and path cards, creating layouts that make sense and earn points. The idea is simple: play map cards of the same type and color next to each other, or connect them with path cards of the corresponding color. Each map card you place is worth points, but the real masterstroke is completing areas – joining three map cards with no more than one path card between them. When you achieve this, your points double! The game gets more interesting with hand management, where you need to decide which cards to draw from the two visible from each deck (map and path) and when to play them to optimize your strategy. Each player's personal board transforms into a small city or landscape, and the competition heats up as everyone tries to close their areas. The game ends when a player completes three areas and gets rid of all their cards, and whoever has the most points takes the glory. Connections promises a quick and engaging experience, perfect for those who enjoy a good spatial reasoning and planning challenge.
