Get ready for a tense and strategic card duel with Aces, a sharp shedding card game tailor-made for two players. It takes the essence of classic climbing games and distills it into an experience focused on hand management, using a standard deck reduced to forty cards (Ace through 10).
In Aces, the big trick is the Aces themselves. On their own, they are low-value, almost worthless cards. But when you combine them with number cards, they transform into super flexible wilds, helping you form runs or sets. And the icing on the cake? Playing all four Aces at once is like unleashing a devastating bomb! You can use this move to start a round or to annihilate any combination already on the table, instantly clearing everything.
The goal is to be the first to reach 7 points across multiple rounds. How you get rid of your cards at the end of each round is crucial and determines how many points you earn. If you play it safe, using wilds to go out, you earn fewer points. But if you're a master of hand management and manage to get rid of your cards 'naturally' (without using wilds to close), the reward is greater. It's a game that challenges you to balance risk and reward, always thinking about your opponent's next move.
