About the game
What you do in a play session
After the Flood is a 3-player-only strategy game set in ancient Sumer, where you'll build fleeting empires, wage battles, and trade resources to accumulate victory points across 1500 years of history. The twist? Your empires are temporary — you build them, score them, then they vanish, leaving only glory (and VPs) behind. Designed from the ground up for three players, it avoids the classic 'two players fight and the third wins' problem. Each controlled city grants unique bonuses based on real history: Babylon strengthens armies, Sippar boosts trade, and so on. Combat uses dice (because ancient empires loved some random drama), but more troops help. Each round (representing ~350 years), you manage workers, collect grain/textile resources, found cities, and expand territories — always trying to maximize points without leaving yourself vulnerable next turn. Pro tip: don't mindlessly arms-race, or the third player might sneak away with the win!
