About the game
What you do in a play session
In *Alchemist*, you're a magic apprentice proving your worth in a medieval potion-brewing contest. The game blends set collection (with colorful cubes) with a dash of economics and area control. Each turn, you devise unique recipes by combining cubes, earning points and resources when others replicate your formulas — but they must pay you a 'royalty' cube! The catch? Everyone has a secret cube color that scores endgame bonuses, so you must balance creating popular recipes with subtly undermining rivals. When only two cube colors remain in the supply, the game ends and the most influential alchemist becomes the Supreme Adept. Pro tip: sometimes letting others copy your recipe is more profitable than hoarding secrets!

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
Best player count?
3-5 keeps the cube competition lively, but 2 works as a tight strategic duel.
Kid-friendly?
Theme appeals to kids, but the strategy suits ages 12+. Simple rules but requires planning.
Need a board?
Nope! Just cubes, recipe cards, and a central play area (any table works).
How long per game?
~50min — ends when cubes run out, so quick turns speed it up.
Digital version?
Yes on Yucata (turn-based), but physically handling cubes is more satisfying.
