About the game

What you do in a play session

You know that delicious chaos when everyone tries to talk at once? That's exactly what Anarchy Pancakes delivers. Imagine a game where the goal is to get rid of pancake cards, but with a twist: the toppings are absolutely bizarre. We're talking earthworms, flaming donuts, and skulls wearing party hats. There are no turns and no waiting; it's all about reflexes and visual perception.

The dynamics are simple and frenetic. On the count of three, the table turns into a battlefield. You need to look at your cards and your opponents', find the matching symbol, and 'push' your card onto someone else's stack. The fastest player to discard all their cards shouts 'Anarchy Pancakes!' and earns a slab 'o butter. The first person to collect two of these slabs wins the game.

The game is the result of a curious partnership between the Exploding Kittens crew and Zygomatic Games (the geniuses behind Spot it!/Dobble). Because of this, if you've played Dobble, you'll notice the pattern recognition logic is very similar, but here the vibe is much more aggressive and noisy. It's the perfect kind of game to break the ice at parties, play with family on the weekend, or simply to see who has the sharpest reflexes in the group. With matches lasting only a few minutes, it's ideal for those who don't want to spend hours reading complex manuals and prefer to jump straight into the action. It's fast, funny, and visually chaotic, turning your table into a true anarchic kitchen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you buy

6 questions
Is it similar to Spot it!/Dobble?
Yes! The logic of finding matching symbols is the same, but the dynamic of 'pushing' cards to others makes the experience more chaotic.
How long does a game last?
Very short! Each round takes a few minutes, and the game ends quickly once someone collects two slabs 'o butter.
Is it hard to learn?
Not at all. In less than two minutes, you'll be ready to shout 'Anarchy Pancakes!'.
How many people can play?
From 2 to 6 players. The more people, the more chaos on the table.
Can children play?
Absolutely! Since it doesn't require reading and focuses on images, it's great for kids with basic motor skills.
Is there a language barrier?
No. Since it's based on images and symbols, there is no language dependency.
