Get ready for a journey back to 9th-century Britain with Angus: Medieval Battles! In this strategy game, packed with excitement and a dash of luck, each player takes on the role of a people determined to dominate the island, expanding their civilization and defending their territories. The rules are super accessible, but the strategic possibilities are vast, ensuring that each game is unique and challenging. The main objective is to accumulate victory points by building cities and temples, which are essential for the development of your civilization. To do this, you'll need to generate resources, which come from conquering new territories and founding new cities. But make no mistake, peace is not an option here! To expand your dominion, you'll have to recruit troops and acquire tactical cards. Your units move across the map, and the presence of ships ensures extra mobility, allowing you to surprise your opponents. Battles are resolved with dice, but the cards you play secretly can turn the tide in your favor, and the leadership of a king can be crucial for your troops' morale. And as if the rivalry between peoples wasn't enough, each round, the fearsome Vikings attack, adding an extra layer of danger and unpredictability. After the Viking attack, it's time to score, and your victory points are kept secret until the end of the eight rounds. The big challenge is to find the perfect balance between economic development and military might to secure victory. Can you become the greatest leader of Britain?
