About the game

What you do in a play session

The Shogun's birthday is approaching, and the villages are buzzing with activity! In Arigatō, you lead a village and must gather the best artisans to craft impressive offerings to earn the ruler's favor. The game unfolds over 12 rounds, each split into three quick, simultaneous phases. At Dawn, you secretly assign roles to your artisans (residents, travelers, or producers). During the Day, you reveal cards, collect resources, and trigger special effects. At Dusk, you check if you've pleased the Shogun's whims to earn extra favors. The player with the most favors at the end wins! The game blends strategy with a dash of controlled chaos, as everyone acts simultaneously. Get ready to manage resources, make quick decisions, and hope the Shogun likes your offerings best!
