About the game
Imagine you are an ambitious architect in a city where status is measured by the height and beauty of your towers. In Asara, your goal is straightforward, but the execution is pure strategy: you want to build the most exuberant and ornate towers to secure the highest prestige in the region. The game unfolds over four rounds (representing years), and that's where the fun begins.

The heart of the game lies in hand management. Each player starts with a hand of colored cards, and to perform any action on the board—such as acquiring construction pieces, gathering money, or finally building a floor of your tower—you must play a card in the corresponding action space. However, there's a cruel and brilliant twist: the first person to play a card in a space sets the color for that area. From then on, anyone else wanting to use that space must play a card of the same color. In other words, you can try to monopolize the actions your opponents desperately need!

As you physically stack your pieces, scoring occurs at the end of each round, considering the number of towers and the ornaments you've managed to add. But don't relax yet, because the end of the fourth year brings the grand final tally. Bonus prestige points are awarded to those who built the tallest tower of each color, the player with the most towers, and the one who erected the overall largest structure. It's a game of tactical planning where you must balance the rush to build with the patience to collect the right materials, all while trying not to get blocked by your opponents' colors. If you love seeing your progress grow physically on the table, Asara is the perfect choice.
