Ever felt the rush of racing to deliver treats at a fashion show or a concert before your rivals do? That is exactly the vibe of Avanti! While the theme revolves around providing special goodies to attendees, the core of the game is a tight-knit-racing experience that keeps everyone on their toes.
The gameplay revolves around unique triangular Power cards. Each card features numbers from 1 to 17 in its corners, and your strategy depends on how you orient these cards to move your piece along a circular track. Since everyone selects their moves simultaneously, there is zero downtime. You pick your card, hide it, and then everyone reveals at once. If you land on an occupied space, you get a boost and keep moving—a mechanic that can turn a slow turn into a sudden sprint!
There is a clever catch: the leader isn't just ahead; they are also getting paid. At the end of each round, players lagging behind must pay the leader based on their position. This creates a dynamic where you are constantly balancing the urge to sprint ahead with the need to manage your resources. After each race, players move along a central scoring track, and the game concludes when someone reaches the 'dream island.' It is a clever mix of hand management, tactical movement, and a bit of 'take-that'-style-pressure, making it a fantastic choice for players who love racing games that are easy to learn but offer deep-enough decisions to keep things spicy.

How long does a game last?
Usually around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on player count.
Is it hard to learn?
Not at all! The rules are straightforward, though mastering the card-use takes a bit of practice.
How many players is best?
It works great with 3 or 4, but even with 5-player-groups, the-simultaneous-action keeps it fast.
Is there a lot of player interaction?
Yes! Between the-payment-to-the-leader and the racing-clashes, you'll be watching your rivals closely.
Is it a heavy strategy game?
No, it's a light-to-mid-weight-game, perfect for a quick-but-thoughtful session.
