In Babel, you and your opponent become rival architects in the ancient world, competing to build the tallest and most impressive temples. Using cards representing different Mesopotamian tribes – Medes, Sumerians, Hittites, Persians, and Assyrians – you'll manage your hand to move your workers (represented by stone figures) between board regions, play cards to strengthen your presence, or even sabotage the opponent's work. Each tribe has unique skills that can be activated by forming sets of cards in the same region, allowing actions like forcing the opponent to discard cards, stealing temples, or accelerating your own construction. The game features a peculiar scoring system: the first to reach 15 points wins, unless the opponent already has 10 points, in which case the goal increases to 20. But beware, if your points drop below 10 at any point, you lose immediately! It's a fast-paced, tactical game with plenty of interaction, where every decision counts towards leading your civilization to divine glory.
