About the game
What you do in a play session
Hey folks! In Uchronia, things get serious: you're the patriarchs of noble houses vying for power and glory in building an ancient city. Think about managing resources (colored cards with activities and orders) to erect buildings that grant special abilities and victory points. Each turn presents a choice: will you 'Command' to grab resources from the Common Forum, explore, trade, or perhaps use the dreaded 'Draconians' to snatch cards from opponents? Or do you prefer to 'Plot', copying someone else's move and bolstering your hand?
The game uses a cool multi-use card system, where each card has a resource type, an activity, and an order. You play a card to execute an order (Production, Exploration, Draconians, Trade, Construction), but you can use two identical cards to do whatever you want! Completing buildings is key, as they give you permanent powers and help you dominate certain activities, securing extra points and even resources when others build something of your color. The phase order can shift, and 'Take That' actions add that spicy edge to the competition.
It's a card game with city building and hand management, where interaction is constant, and the strategy of optimizing your actions and building your 'tableau' is fundamental. Prepare for a race for points, where dominating certain activities can be the difference-maker for victory. Keep an eye on the cards available in the Forum and in your opponents' hands, because in Uchronia, every decision counts towards becoming the most influential patriarch!
