About the game

What you do in a play session

In Baron Voodoo, you take on the role of a Loa, a voodoo god seeking to replace Baron Samedi as the new god of death. The goal is to capture the most souls in a single night before the other Loas do the same. The game is dice-centric, but here you don't roll them — you strategically move them on a 7x7 grid board. Each die represents a soul, and by moving it, you can capture it. But that's not all: you can pay skulls to change the die's face, apply special powers, or even play an extra turn. Additionally, each Loa has unique abilities that can be used for free or copied from other players at the cost of skulls. Throughout the game, you can become Baron Samedi, gaining access to all powers without cost. The game ends when a player reaches 18, 15, or 12 points, depending on the number of players. At the end, all souls are sent to the spirit world, where they are counted to determine the winner. Baron Voodoo is a game that combines abstract strategy with fantasy elements, offering a unique and engaging experience.
