Get ready for a gem race in the marketplace with Basari! In this 1998 game, you and your friends become merchants competing to gather the most precious stones. Each round, everyone rolls the die and moves their pawns around the board, trying to anticipate their rivals' moves. Then comes the most tense part: secretly choosing one of three possible actions. Do you want to grab gems, score direct points, or risk a new roll to advance and score? The magic happens with simultaneous reveal! If you're the only one to choose an action, great! But if more than one player chooses the same action, that's when the negotiation begins. Prepare to trade precious gems with other merchants to get what you want. In games with more players, the negotiation gets even more intense! Completing a lap around the board also earns bonuses, and at the end of three laps, whoever has the most points wins. Basari is a fast-paced game (only 25 minutes!) and full of interaction, perfect for those who enjoy a bit of luck from the dice and plenty of table talk.
