What you do in a play session
Blobcut is a drawless connection game for two players (Black and White) blending abstract strategy with spatial puzzle elements. Played on an empty grid with black (top/bottom) and white (left/right) edges, you win by creating an unbroken chain of your stones connecting your color's opposite edges. The twist? 'Crosscuts' – 2×2 areas with diagonally opposing stones – become battlegrounds: controlling 5 of their central 9 points lets you chain through them. White gets a tactical edge: on their first turn, they can swap sides with Black instead of moving. Matches are quick (20-60 min) but demand forward thinking – blocking opponents while expanding your network. Simple rules hide strategic depth, perfect for brainy duels where every move shifts momentum.
