Celebrating 20 years of Bohnanza, this special edition brings back the fun of planting and trading beans, without changing the formula that won everyone over! In Bohnanza: 20 Jahre, you start with a hand of bean cards that cannot be reordered, which already adds a special flavor to the game. Each card shows how many copies exist in the deck and how many 'Talers' (game money) you earn when harvesting. The goal is simple: have more money than your friends at the end. On your turn, you must plant the first bean from your hand and can plant a second one if you wish. Remember: a field can only hold one type of bean! Then, you reveal two cards from the deck and can trade them, along with cards from your hand, with other players. The catch is that everything traded must be planted, no keeping it for later! This trading is the soul of the game, allowing you to plan future moves and secure your harvest. To end your turn, draw new cards and add them to the back of your hand. Harvesting a field can be done at any time, securing your little Talers. The big new addition here is the 'spring bean': upon harvesting two of them, you draw extra cards, and everyone at the table participates in a mini-planting round, with an extra card going to the active player. It's guaranteed fun for those who enjoy bargaining and a bit of luck in their hand!
