Get ready for a relaxing yet strategic adventure in Cascadia: Rolling Hills, the roll-and-write version that takes you to the prairies of the Pacific Northwest! In this game, you and your friends (or just you, in solo mode!) will roll dice, collect adorable wildlife, and complete habitat cards to create the most harmonious ecosystem possible on your environment sheets. It's like a delightful puzzle to assemble, but with dice and animals!
Each round, everyone rolls dice simultaneously, and from the results, you choose which wildlife to collect and which habitats to complete. But it's not just luck: you can use special actions to manipulate the dice and activate powerful combos with dynamic completion cards. The game includes a unique Central Special Die that changes the dynamic of each round, and four unique environment sheets, each with its own special gameplay elements and based on different regions of Cascadia. This means every game is a fresh experience!
Additionally, the game features 30 habitat cards with stunning art by Beth Sobel and 8 advanced completion cards for you to devise clever discount and bonus strategies. And there's more! A mini-expansion is already included, introducing end-game scoring bonuses and competitive objectives to spice up the competition. While the basic rules are quite easy to grasp, the variety of environment sheets ensures you'll never play the same game twice. And if you really love it, you can even combine it with the other Cascadia: Rolling version to play with up to 8 people on 8 different maps!
