About the game
Ever thought about building your own sanctuary for endangered species? In Spectacular, that's exactly your mission! You step into the shoes of an animal park manager, where the goal is to create proper habitats to ensure these animals can breed and thrive. But it's not just about placing tiles; there's a whole layer of logistical strategy involved.

The game revolves around drafting animal tiles and dice, which represent the food needed to sustain the animals. Here's the catch: the die color must match the animal's habitat color. Since it's an open draft, you'll need to keep a close eye on your opponents, because if someone grabs that high-value die or that rare tile, it's gone for good!

The core of the game is a spatial puzzle on a hexagonal grid. You'll want to connect habitats of the same color to sum up the points from your dice, but there's a twist: to score on certain 'family' tiles, you must specifically place dice with values of 1 or 2. It's the kind of decision-making that makes you wonder, 'Do I take the high-value die now or secure the tile that might disappear?'. Additionally, you can build watchtowers to boost the score of the surrounding dice.

To top it off, the more species variety you collect, the more points you earn. The game is dynamic, featuring simultaneous actions that eliminate the boredom of waiting for your turn, making the experience fluid and fast. Once you've mastered the basics, the game offers extra mission tiles that turn the experience into a much tighter mental challenge. It's the perfect blend of resource management, tactical placement, and a pinch of luck with the dice.
