About the game
In Sagrada, your goal is to craft the most dazzling stained-glass window using colorful dice as glass pieces. Each player receives an individual board representing their window's frame, with spaces that may have restrictions on the color or value (shade) of the dice. The clever twist is that you cannot place dice of the same color or value next to each other – which immediately adds an intriguing layer of planning! Each round, players draft dice from a central pool, following a rotating order that allows the last player of the round to pick two dice. This drafting dynamic is crucial, as you need to balance your board's restrictions with your scoring objectives. Speaking of scoring, it's super flexible and changes with each game. You earn points for creating specific patterns, having a variety of colors or values, and even for having darker shades of a secret color known only to you. To help you out when things get tough, there are special tools that allow you to bend some of the game's rules. Using these tools costs skill tokens, and the cost increases for other players who want to use the same tool afterward. Ultimately, the artisan with the highest-scoring window claims victory. It's a game that blends abstract strategy with the luck of the dice in a very elegant and visually appealing way!
