About the game

What you do in a play session

In Catan: 3D Edition, you don't just play on a board — you colonize an island that literally leaps off the table! The classic strategy and trading game gets a deluxe makeover, with hand-sculpted pieces painted in vibrant colors. Your settlements sprout among wheat fields, while cities nestle against mountains that look real. Each turn, dice determine which resources the island produces: wood, brick, sheep, wheat, or ore. Use them to expand your territory, build roads, and strike deals with other players. But watch out: the largest army and longest road grant extra points! The first to reach 10 points wins. The 3D edition offers the same gameplay that made Catan famous, but with a visual immersion that makes you feel the island's wind blowing. The pieces have an antiqued finish, like relics of an ancient civilization, and the modular board ensures every game is unique. Get ready to trade, strategize, and, of course, hope the dice roll in your favor!

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you buy

7 questions
How many players can play?
3 to 4 players. There are expansions to increase this, but this 3D edition includes only the base game.
What's different from the standard version?
Same gameplay, but the 3D pieces and luxury visuals take immersion to another level.
Is it hard to learn?
Not at all! Rules are simple, and everyone gets the hang of it within 2 turns. Great for beginners.
Is the higher price worth it?
If you love Catan and want a premium experience, yes. If you just want to play, the standard version works fine.
Does it need a lot of table space?
The 3D board is larger than normal. Make sure you have a big enough table for the island and pieces.
Can kids play?
Works great for ages 10+. Younger kids can play with strategy help.
Are the pieces fragile?
They're sturdy, but avoid drops. The paintwork is delicate.
