About the game
What you do in a play session
The universe is on the brink of collapse, and the only hope rests on an ancient, mysterious artifact: the Ovoid, a "cosmic egg" that can shape the birth of the next universe. Each player takes on the role of a secret agent from one of the few surviving worlds, wearing an amnion suit that enables interplanetary travel, space combat, and planetary landings. Upon arriving on a planet, a new stack of cards is revealed; you decide which to take and which to leave behind, creating a constantly shifting pool of weapons, gear, traps, and counter‑cards. Knowledge of opponents' hands becomes the most valuable currency, as predicting their cards lets you block strategies and build powerful combos.
The game revolves around limited action points, dice rolls, and hand management while you move point‑to‑point across a modular board. Open drafting, memory, and trading mechanics give the game a brisk pace of strategic bluffing and negotiation. Each agent has unique powers that can swing the tide, and the board reshapes with every new planet visited, ensuring high replayability. When the Chaos Clock hits zero, the player holding the Ovoid becomes the master of the new Big Bang, ruling the next universe while the rest fade away. Chaosmos blends space exploration, tactical combat, and deduction, seasoned with plenty of bluff and trade, perfect for fans of dynamic decision‑making and adaptable play.
