About the game
Charge is a cooperative card game that pits 2 to 6 players against the deck itself. At the start, each player receives four cards while 10 plastic coins are spread on the table. During play, strategy revolves around choosing the right card to place on the table: if the table is empty, any card can be played; otherwise, the card must share the same letter or have a number equal to or lower than the one already in play. After playing, the card turns into a coin, and when ten coins are on the table, the oldest one is discarded. Besides playing cards, participants can use special abilities—from clearing the board, revealing or swapping cards with others, to executing the ability of the card currently in play. Each ability requires paying coins equal to the card’s number, adding a resource‑management layer. The ultimate goal is to empty the deck and all players’ hands; the first to do so wins. Charge blends luck and planning, as the card order can favor or frustrate the team, but cooperation and smart use of abilities are key to success. The game is quick, with rounds lasting about 30 minutes, and its unique card mechanics keep each session fresh and challenging.
