About the game
Ever played dominoes but wished they were a colorful brain-melting puzzle? That's Chromino for you! Short for 'chromatic domino', this game is much more challenging than it looks at first glance. The goal is straightforward but tricky: be the first player to empty your hand of tiles. Each Chromino tile is a 1x3 rectangle featuring three different colors. To kick things off, everyone starts with eight tiles and a special starting tile with a wild center square to help get the board construction moving.

The gameplay is fast-paced and smooth. On your turn, you have two main choices: either place a tile from your hand onto the table, or draw a new tile from the stack. However, there's a catch! To place a tile, you must ensure it matches at least two colors with the adjacent tiles already on the board. It's a constant visual puzzle! If you can't make a valid move with what you have, you'll have to draw a new tile, which could be a lifesaver or a total headache depending on your luck.

Chromino is a duel of visual perception and spatial planning. You'll find yourself staring at the board, trying to predict color matches and avoiding leaving gaps that your opponents can exploit. Since it's a pure strategy game, it works beautifully for a quick family game night or a serious showdown among friends looking to test their mental limits. And if you find the standard rules too easy, the manual even includes expert variants for seasoned players looking to crank up the difficulty. It's the perfect pick for anyone who loves quick, intense, and visually stimulating logic puzzles!
