Hey gamers! Ready for an epic twist in the world of Claim? In "Claim: Alliances," the stakes are higher! If you were previously busy gathering mercenaries from ruthless factions to vie for the dead king's throne, things have gotten serious. An ancient threat is rising from the depths to jeopardize everything. So, what do you do? You team up with a former rival to form an alliance and save the realm! This is the cooperative mode that's here to change the game.
The game unfolds over two phases. In the first, you and your partner (yes, you'll have to trust someone!) will recruit followers and select alliance cards. These cards can be of two types: enemies for you to defeat together or hourglasses to give you a breather and allow for better planning. In the second phase, things get intense: you need to command certain factions and fulfill the alliance objectives to secure victory. If everything goes according to plan, you'll fend off the evil and might even return to facing each other in Claim's standard competitive mode. It's an expansion that takes the base game we already enjoy and adds a layer of cooperation and urgency, perfect for those who like to test their synergy with friends against a common challenge. Get ready to work as a team and save the kingdom, because the danger is real!
