About the game
In Comuni, you step into the shoes of a leader of a 12th-century Italian city during a vibrant medieval era. Your goal is clear: make your city prosper and outshine its rivals! To achieve this, you'll need to invest in buildings that boost the economy, culture, religion, and military might. But beware, the outside world isn't always peaceful! Barbarian invasions are a constant threat, and they become increasingly dangerous with each round. The game's core mechanic revolves around acquiring the right building projects through a competitive bidding system. The highest bidder gets the project, which then transforms into buildings and defensive walls, providing resources and protection. These resources are crucial for winning auctions and strengthening your city. Collaboration can be key: sometimes, joining forces with other players to repel a massive attack is the only way to survive. Strategic planning is essential, as you need to anticipate future moves and imminent threats to ensure your COMUNE's supremacy. It's a game that demands foresight and a good dose of bluffing in the auctions!
