About the game

What you do in a play session

Concept Kids: Animals brings the charm of the classic Concept to kids who haven’t learned to read yet. Instead of words, youngsters place colorful pawns on illustrated icons on the board to signal traits like "has feathers," "lives in water," or "is big." Each round starts with drawing an animal card; the clue‑giver positions the pawns on the relevant symbols while the others guess the creature. The game features 110 animals split into two difficulty levels, allowing families to start easy and raise the challenge as kids improve. Twelve cards are played per session, and the goal is to guess as many animals as possible before time runs out, earning points together. Éric Azagury’s vibrant artwork ties visual clues to real‑world fauna, making the experience both educational and fun. Because it’s fully cooperative, there are no losers – victory depends on clear communication and teamwork, perfect for building non‑verbal language skills and observation. With 20‑minute playtime, it fits nicely into short sessions, whether before snack time or as a warm‑up for a family game night. Ideal for children aged 4‑8, but adults enjoy the challenge of decoding the icons too. In short, Concept Kids: Animals is a colorful invitation to explore the animal kingdom while learning to speak without words.
