In 4th century BCE Corinth, you're a trader trying your luck in the Mediterranean. The goal? To become the most savvy and wealthy merchant in the city's history! Corinth is a roll-and-write game that feels like a dice-focused version of Yspahan. Each turn, the active player rolls nine dice. The highest value dice go to the top of the board, and the rest are arranged in levels below, with each value on its own row. Here's the cool part: you choose a level and take all the dice from it, performing the corresponding action. The top level gives you gold, the bottom one gives you goats (yes, goats!), and the middle levels let you deliver goods to the markets on your personal sheet. Each market color has its own rules: once you start marking, say, carpets in a blue area, you have to finish there before moving to another. Spending gold can get you extra yellow dice to increase your chances of grabbing a nice level, but if you don't take them, they disappear from play. Want to avoid goods? Use the dice values to move a 'steward' on a 5x5 grid on your sheet. You can pay gold to adjust the movement, and where it lands can yield gold, goats, or goods. Landing on the corners of this grid is where the magic happens: you sum the marked spaces, some counting double, and write down a number that's worth points at the end. Building structures with gold or goats gives you special powers, like gold bonuses or extra steward movements. The game ends after 16 or 18 turns (depending on player count), and whoever has the most points from goods, steward's travels, buildings, and leftover resources wins!
