About the game
Ever felt that desperate urge to drop everything and just think about the weekend? In 'Countdown to the Weekend' (Sextou!), you step into the paws of a corporate cat who is absolutely exhausted from all the work. The goal is simple but requires all your feline agility: you need to find ways to dodge work and ensure your weekend is all about fun and zero obligations! The game unfolds in two stages, representing the first and second week of the month. In each round, players participate in trick-taking, where the winner is determined by the color and value of the cards, but here's the twist: the rules for 'winning' can change! Using a Rondel mechanic, you can use task chips to move the control pawn, altering the winning conditions for each trick. It's a game of pure strategy and mischief, where you try to avoid accumulating too many tasks. If you end the period with many task chips left over, get ready to lose precious points. The winner is the player who, at the end of both weeks, has accumulated the fewest negative points. It's a fast-paced, dynamic experience, perfect for those seeking a light card game that still demands a sharp eye on what your opponents are planning. After all, who doesn't want to find a way to 'Friday' as soon as possible?
