About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready for a frantic race to become the next millionaire in the card game Cover Your Assets! The idea here is simple: collect sets of assets – like jewels, classic cars, piggy banks, and more – and stack them to build your fortune. Each new set you assemble goes on top of the previous one, protecting what's underneath. But beware, the top of your stack is a target! Other players can try to steal your precious assets if they have a matching card or a wild card (the silver and gold cards). Defense is a counter-attack: show an equal card from your hand to block the thief. If they insist, the fight continues, card against card, until someone gives up or can't respond. Whoever wins, keeps the set. The cool part is that all cards used in the dispute go to the winning set, increasing its value and making it even more coveted. To ensure your assets remain safe, the best tactic is to create a new pair or snatch a set from another player. The game proceeds in rounds, with scores being tallied and cards returning to the deck, until someone reaches the one million dollar mark. Cover Your Assets is super quick to learn and play, but don't be fooled: it hides a surprising layer of strategy and can be easily addictive. It's perfect for gathering friends, as kids, teens, and adults have fun together. The latest edition brings extra rules for two and three players, as well as new additions. Just a warning: if you don't handle losing well, you might want to pass this one up!
