About the game
What you do in a play session
Coyote is a fast‑paced, chaotic card game that throws up to eight players into a showdown of quick thinking and bluffing. Each card carries an action and a word; when you build the line, you must announce the action and word of the card on your turn, keeping the sequence intact. The twist lies in the "coyote" cards, which act as saboteurs: playing one can force the next player to mess up the order or the total value, sending them straight to elimination. The goal is simple – be the last player standing – but the fun comes from the tension of guessing what others have on their forehead while protecting your own.
The Action Queue mechanic turns every move into a piece of a constantly shifting puzzle, while Ordering forces you to decide where each card goes so you don’t break the chain. When someone slips up, they’re out (player elimination), and the Take That element ensures the game never gets dull, as there’s always a chance to turn the tables on an opponent.
At just ten minutes per round, Coyote is ideal for parties, quick meet‑ups, or as a palate cleanser between heavier games. The learning curve is almost nonexistent, yet strategic depth emerges in deciding when to drop coyote cards and how to mislead others. Though light, the game can spark loud laughs and those "I can’t believe I did that!" moments. If you love deduction, bluffing, and high interaction, Coyote fits like a glove.
