About the game
What you do in a play session
Cranium: Hoopla is the turbocharged, cooperative version of the classic Cranium, designed for those who love a timed challenge and lots of group laughter! The idea is simple: you and your friends need to guess as many cards as possible before time runs out, working together as a true squad of fun-loving geniuses. Each player starts with four cards in hand, representing well-known people, places, or objects, and eight more cards are placed in a common Play Pile. Each round, a die determines what type of clue you can give for the card you choose from your hand. And that's where creativity really shines! You might have to draw and doodle (Cloodle), use good old alliteration to give multiple clues starting with the same letter (Tongue-Tied), act out or provide sound effects without using a single word (Soundstage), or give comparative size hints (Tweener), like 'it's bigger than a grain of rice, but smaller than an elephant.' As soon as the group guesses the card, the timer stops quickly, and a new card is drawn. The game continues at this frantic pace until all cards are guessed or the 15 minutes are up. If the team gets stuck on a particular card, they can choose to discard it, but then two new cards enter the game: one for the player's hand and another as a penalty card in the Play Pile. Victory belongs to everyone if you manage to decipher all the cards before time runs out. It's guaranteed fun and a great test of your group's synergy!
