About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for a toy medieval war with Crossbows and Catapults: Grand Battleset! If you enjoy hands-on action and watching your miniature armies smash each other, this game is for you. Here, you take command of either the Vikings or the Barbarians, aiming to destroy your opponent's fortifications and troops using elastic-powered crossbows and catapults. Fun is guaranteed with the direct action of the crossbows, which fire projectiles to annihilate everything in their path, and the indirect action of the catapults, which lob 'fireballs' (or whatever comes in the box) over obstacles to hit the heart of the enemy base. This expansion brings square towers with built-in catapults and spring-loaded roof platforms. Hitting the main gate can send defenders flying through the air! Additionally, you'll build walls, position soldiers, and use battle pieces to defend your territory and attack the enemy. It's a game that promises epic battles, whether playing standalone or expanding the original set, and appeals to both kids and adults looking for uninhibited, action-packed fun. Strategy is important, but aim and luck count for a lot!
