About the game
In Dairyman, you step into the shoes of a dedicated dairyman, working tirelessly to milk your cows and fulfill the farmer's orders. But be careful! If your milk spoils, an entire day's work goes down the drain. The good news is you can transform this milk into more valuable products like cheese or ice cream, increasing their worth and preventing spoilage. The goal is simple: be the best dairyman on the farm! Each turn, players roll all the dice and must set aside a group of dice that sum up to exactly 10. You can repeat this action as many times as you wish, until you decide to pass. Afterward, you trade the dice that summed to 10 for milk tile(s) of equivalent value. If you fail to roll a sum of 10, your turn ends immediately, but don't worry: you get a snow token as compensation. These tokens are super useful, as they can be used later to flip milk tiles, earning extra points or activating special abilities. The game continues until the stack of milk tiles is depleted. In the end, the player with the most points on their milk tiles is the grand winner. It's a fun push-your-luck dice game, perfect for anyone looking for something light with a touch of strategy.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the average playtime for Dairyman?
A game of Dairyman is quite quick, usually lasting between 20 to 30 minutes. Perfect for filling a bit of free time or for multiple rounds!
How many players can play?
Dairyman can be played by 2 to 4 players. It works well at all player counts, but with 4 players, the competition for milk tiles becomes more intense.
Is it a complex game? Who is it suitable for?
Not at all! Dairyman has a very low complexity (BGG weight 1.125/5). It's ideal for board game beginners, families, and anyone looking for a light and fun pastime.
What is the main objective of the game?
Your main goal is to accumulate as many points as possible through the milk tiles you collect. Transforming milk into cheese or ice cream and cleverly using snow tokens are key to victory!
Are the components language-dependent?
No, Dairyman is completely language-independent. The components are symbolic, so anyone can play without translation issues.
Is there much player interaction?
Interaction is more indirect. You compete for milk tiles and can observe what others are doing to decide whether to push your luck or pass, but there isn't much direct attack or defense interaction.
Does luck play a big role in the game?
Yes, dice rolling and the 'push your luck' mechanic mean that luck plays a considerable role. However, the decision of when to stop and how to use snow tokens adds a layer of strategy to mitigate bad luck somewhat.
