About the game
What you do in a play session
Grab your pencil and die, because Daydream Dungeon is a solo adventure that fits in the palm of your hand! Forget elaborate boards and tons of components; here, everything happens on a single sheet of paper. You create your hero from scratch, allocating points to skills like Dexterity, Ranged, Endurance, Acumen, and Melee. After equipping your adventurer, it's time to face a dungeon full of dangers, from treacherous traps to hungry monsters, culminating in an epic showdown with the final boss. With every step, you track your movements on a 5x6 grid. Upon entering a room, a die roll, added to your depth in the dungeon, tells you what awaits in the Bestiary: it could be treasure, a trap, or an enemy. From there, the decision is yours: use brute force, attempt a stealthy approach, or even cast a spell. Each action relies on a die roll, with bonuses based on your stats. The game cleverly allows you to see your entire adventure's path without needing to erase anything – a journal of your glories and misadventures. And if things get tough? Magic potions can be a lifesaver, but beware: the first time you use a potion of a certain color, its effect is a surprise! It's a game that challenges you to think strategically and manage risks, ideal for those who enjoy a good dose of fantasy and straightforward RPG gameplay.
