About the game
Defenders of the Last Stand is a cooperative post-apocalyptic adventure game for 1 to 5 players. Set in the western United States more than 50 years after a nuclear war, players take on the roles of defenders of the last known refuge for humanity, called The Last Stand. Four clan leaders and their followers advance towards the city, while menacing mutants roam the desert, threatening the survival of the community. The game combines elements of adventure and conflict resolution, with mechanics such as action points, dice rolling, and point-to-point movement. Additionally, players' characters can mutate from traveling through irradiated areas, adding a strategic layer to the game. The game comes loaded with detailed miniatures, including three large sculptures of the invading clan leaders and their followers, created by Chad Hoverter. The four warrior clans include raiders on bikes and cars, amazons riding mutated beasts, technologically advanced yet criminally insane youths, and a winged creature so mutated it has lost all traces of its humanity. The engaging narrative and tense atmosphere of the game promise hours of fun and challenge for fans of cooperative games and post-apocalyptic themes.
