Don Capollo drops you and your friends into the shoes of Italian mobsters battling for control of the family’s rackets – guns, booze, casinos, prostitution, loan‑sharking, bribery, artwork and olive oil. The game opens with an open draft of cards that represent investment chances, favors and threats. As you pick cards you try to assemble the most profitable sets while haggling with other players to trade resources, secure protection pacts, or even sabotage rivals. The core mechanics are open drafting, which lets everyone see the same pool and forces quick strategic picks, and set collection, rewarding those who close the most lucrative deals. Negotiations get heated – you can offer cash, favors, or promise not to hit a competitor in exchange for a sweet transaction. But a poorly timed pact can leave you in the red and hand the advantage to another aspiring Don. After each round profits and influence are tallied; the player with the most money and power claims the title of Don Capollo, the "Capo Dei Capi", feared and respected by all. A 45‑minute experience for 3‑6 players, the game is easy to learn yet deep enough for fans of bargaining, bluffing and feeling the weight of underworld power. While the theme is mature, the focus stays on strategic negotiation and the fun of striking great deals, without requiring heavyweight rulebooks.
