Downforce: Lucky Promo Card

Downforce: Lucky Promo Card is a bonus card released to backers of The Dice Tower's 2018 Kickstarter. It gives players a new option when using the "wild" move – the free‑choice advance normally allowed in the base game. Instead of picking any number of spaces, you may choose to roll a six‑sided die and move your car exactly that many spaces. This adds a splash of controlled luck, turning the decision to use a wild into a mini‑risk: roll the die or stick with the number you had in mind? The card is sized for the Restorations/Iello version (approximately 64 mm × 88 mm) and is incompatible with the smaller American‑style cards found in the Goliath slim‑box sold at Target or Dollarama. All other mechanics stay the same – auctions, betting, hand management, and variable player powers remain as in the core game. The expansion does not increase the game's complexity; it simply offers an extra tactical choice that can shift the pace of a race, especially in games lasting 20‑40 minutes with up to six players. If you already own Downforce, just slip the card into the deck and start experimenting.
