Step by step
Objective of the Game
In Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy - Pursuers, players take on the roles of enigmatic alien species from the far reaches of the galaxies. The Magellan are travelers exploiting relics, while the Enlightened expand their Shrine grid. The overarching goal is to achieve galactic dominance, either by instructing the Galactic Council on lasting peace or by forcing enlightened ways upon the squabbling superpowers. The game's ultimate objective is to accumulate the most Victory Points (VP) by the end of the game.

Species-Specific Rules:
Wardens of Magellan:
- Discovery Tiles:
- Start with a face-down Discovery Tile on the Discovery Tile Symbol on the top Tech Track of your Species Board.
- Resolve this Discovery Tile the first time you place a fourth Tech on one of your Tech Tracks.
- If the Discovery Tile allows you to place something in a Sector (like an Ancient Cruiser or Ancient Orbital), place it in your Starting Sector.
- If you do not control your Starting Sector, you must take the tile as 2 VP.
- At the end of the game, gain 1 VP per Discovery Tile you used as a Ship Part. This includes Discovery Tile Ship Parts removed from your Blueprints; keep them next to your Species Board as a reminder.
- Colony Ships: At any time, you may flip unused Colony Ships to gain one Resource of your choice per Colony Ship flipped.
Enlightened of Lyra:
- Shrines:
- You start the game with nine Shrines (special Structures) on the indicated spaces of your Shrine Board.
- With each Research Action, you may additionally place one Shrine from your Shrine Board in any Sector you Control by paying its indicated cost.
- Restrictions for placing Shrines:
- Shrines must be placed next to a planet of the same color as the Resource used to place the Shrine (or a gray planet).
- Each planet may have only one Shrine.
- Shrines cannot be placed using the Build Action.
- When you place the last Shrine from a row of the Shrine Board, gain the indicated bonus:
- Wormhole Generator ability: You may Explore, Move to, and Influence adjacent Sectors if the edges connecting the Sectors contain one Wormhole.
- Discovery Tile: If the Discovery Tile allows you to place something in a Sector (such as Ancient Cruiser or Ancient Orbital), place it in your Starting Sector. If you do not control your Starting Sector, you must take the tile as 2 VP.
- Extra Influence Disc: You receive one additional Influence Disc, placed immediately on your Influence Track.
- Shrines cannot be destroyed and remain in the Sector they are placed until the end of the game. Shrine bonuses, once gained, cannot be lost, and other Species can never acquire them.
- Colony Ships: During the Combat Phase, you may flip unused Colony Ships to reroll one of your own dice per Colony Ship flipped.

Dicas para Vencer
- As a Warden of Magellan, strategically resolve your starting Discovery Tile. If it allows placement in your Starting Sector, ensure you maintain control of that sector to maximize its benefit. If not, taking the 2 VP is a solid fallback.
- For the Enlightened of Lyra, prioritize placing Shrines to unlock the row bonuses on your Shrine Board. The Wormhole Generator ability and Extra Influence Disc can provide significant advantages in exploration and control.
- Both species can leverage their Colony Ships for flexible benefits. Magellan can convert them into needed Resources at any time, while Enlightened can use them for crucial rerolls during combat, potentially turning the tide of a battle.
