About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready to have your mind and soul frozen! Eldritch Horror: Mountains of Madness is the second expansion for the acclaimed Eldritch Horror, and it throws you straight into the icy heart of Antarctica. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's classic novella, this expansion invites you to follow in the footsteps of a doomed expedition and venture into the imposing City of the Elder Things. And let me tell you, what happens down there doesn't stay down there: the horrors that awaken in the glaciers spread across the globe, threatening all of humanity.

To face this chilling challenge, you'll have eight new investigators at your disposal, each with their quirks to help (or hinder!) you in the fight against cosmic threats. Furthermore, the expansion brings a host of new cards: Assets, Spells, Artifacts, and Conditions that can be a blessing or a curse for your characters. And the big news are the Adventure and Prelude cards, which for the first time, give a different shape to your journey, molding the global struggle against the Ancient Ones in unprecedented ways. Do you and your team have what it takes to survive the frozen wastes of Antarctica, unravel the secrets of the Mountains of Madness, and perhaps, postpone the inevitable end of human civilization? The adventure is epic, the difficulty is high, and immersion is guaranteed for those who enjoy good cosmic horror!
