Each Ancient One you face brings unique Mystery and Research decks, deepening the lore and challenges. Your travels will be guided by clues, interdimensional gates, and menacing monsters, but adventure can arise in the most unexpected places. During the Encounter phase, you might confront creatures in Istanbul, negotiate with crime syndicates, embark on expeditions to pyramids, or investigate clues in the wilderness. Every decision and outcome shapes your investigator's personal story.

Failure in encounters comes at a high cost. You might suffer physical or mental trauma, or worse, acquire Condition cards like 'Leg Injury' or 'Amnesia,' which impose restrictions and can have sinister effects if not resolved quickly. And as you struggle, the Ancient One's malign influence manifests through Mythos Cards, bringing new gates, monsters, and threats, increasing the pressure each round. With twelve unique investigators, hundreds of tokens, and over three hundred cards, Eldritch Horror offers an immersive and challenging experience every game, testing your courage and strategy to save the world.
