About the game

What you do in a play session

Hey there, gamers! Ready to give your Endless Winter a little boost? The Squirrel & Nut promo cards have arrived, fresh from the Kickstarter oven! These little gems are a treat for those who already enjoy the base game and want to add an extra spice. The idea is simple: you'll shuffle the Squirrel card into the top half of your deck and the Nut card into the bottom half. Don't worry, we'll explain what they do!

With the Squirrel in play, during the Eclipse Phase, you can give your animal collection a boost. Place two Animal deck cards face up in the Hunting Grounds and choose one of them. The Nut gives you extra flexibility when trading, allowing you to swap the Nut itself for any other available Animal card. And the cherry on top? If you manage to have both the Squirrel and the Nut together at the end of the game, you get a bonus of 8 points! But if the Squirrel goes missing and you're left with just the Nut, prepare to lose 5 points. It's a small detail that can turn the game around, so stay sharp!

These cards are a find for those who love to have all the promos and personalize their experience. They don't radically change the game, but they add some interesting tactical decisions, especially in the collection and resource management phases. If you're the type who loves to have the complete package and doesn't mind a bit more strategic complexity, these cards are for you. They bring a touch of luck and strategy that can be quite fun!
