Hey there, board game enthusiasts! Ready for a trip back in time that'll make any dinosaur documentary look tame? In Evo, you take on the role of a dinosaur species with the mission to ensure it not only survives but thrives in a prehistoric world full of dangers and constant climate shifts. Each round is a race against time (literally, a meteor is falling!), where your dinos need to migrate to friendlier climates, evolve with survival-granting genes, and, of course, deal with the competition.
The game blends mechanics like area control, movement, auctioning, and even a bit of dice rolling for that extra thrill. You'll be earning and spending mutation points to adapt your species, but be careful not to blow them all, as what's left at the end counts towards victory! Turn order is dynamic, stat-based, and each player gets to explore unique powers. It's a fierce competition for evolutionary supremacy, where only the most adapted (and slightly lucky) win. With 3 to 5 players and games lasting 1 to 2 hours, Evo offers a strategic experience with a super immersive theme. If you enjoy medium-weight games that challenge you to think long-term and adapt to twists and turns, this prehistoric adventure is for you!
