About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for the grand Fantasy Fair in Fairy Tale Inn! Storybook characters are arriving in town, and they all want to stay at your inn. As rival owners, you compete to provide the best service to your guests, earning gold through their strategic placement. Each turn, you choose a character from the guest list, pay the cost, and place them in the inn. The colored side you see is yours; the monochrome side faces your opponent. When placing a guest, you can earn gold depending on their room and neighbors. For instance, the Three Little Pigs love being together, yielding extra gold for each neighbor of the same kind. The Big Bad Wolf, however, gives points at the end of the game if you have more of him in a row than your opponent. Watch out for enchanted rooms, which can grant bonuses or penalties! The game ends when three columns of the inn are full. Whoever has accumulated the most gold from the guests wins!

Fairy Tale Inn is a quick and strategic game for two players, perfect for those who enjoy spatial puzzles and a touch of luck when choosing guests. The interaction is subtle, but decisions on where to place each character can determine victory or defeat. With simple rules and short playtime, it's a great choice to kick off a game night or play anytime. The artwork is charming and reminiscent of children's tales, making the experience even more enjoyable.
