About the game

What you do in a play session

Ever wondered what it feels like to carry the weight of an entire kingdom on your shoulders? In FateFlip: By Royal Decree, you step into the shoes of the first-born prince, someone who has been trained since childhood to realize that every single action can alter the destiny of thousands. Here, you aren't just playing a game; you are shaping your legacy. Will you be the beloved ruler who brings justice and prosperity, or the one whose name is whispered with contempt while the people pray for your downfall?

The experience is entirely focused on narrative and consequences. The game operates through a card-based system: you read the situation described on the upper half of the card and make a choice. But be careful, as your decisions come with a price. Depending on what you decide, you'll need to adjust parameter counters, representing the state of your kingdom and your own reputation. These choices create immediate ramifications or plant seeds that will only bloom (or cause disasters) much later in the story.

The gameplay flow is dynamic: after making a decision, you flip and move the card following the indicated icons to discover the direct consequence of your decree. With 12 different endings to discover, the game encourages multiple playthroughs to explore all possibilities and understand how every nuance of your governing style affects the final outcome. It's almost like a 'choose your own adventure' book, but with the depth of a game system that tracks your successes and failures. If you enjoy games where the story is the star and your decisions truly matter, this title is a perfect fit.
