About the game
Finis Terrae is a nautical adventure where you become an explorer in an unknown world, full of dangers and opportunities. Each game, the map is uniquely assembled, with tiles revealing islands, treasures, and even pirates hungry for plunder. You can choose to be an honest merchant, founding ports and trading spices, or turn pirate and steal from other players — the choice is yours! The game has four phases per turn: cartographic (where the map expands), preparation (setting weather and trade), navigation (exploring and collecting resources), and end of day (preparing for the next). The first player is whoever is furthest east, and pirates are controlled in rotation, changing strategy each round. With mechanics like worker placement, trading, and a touch of luck, Finis Terrae is perfect for fans of exploration games with multiple strategies.
