FORTEVIA is a minimalist two-player print-and-play strategy game where every symbol marks the advance of your territory. One player uses triangles, the other uses squares. Starting from opposite sides of a symmetrical grid, players expand one space at a time, building paths, blocking routes, and advancing toward the enemy Fortress. There are no pieces to move: the symbols drawn on the grid are your territory, your army, and the record of the entire match. When a player tries to conquer a space occupied by the opponent, both roll a six-sided die. The higher result controls the space. A successful attack replaces the enemy symbol with your own, while a failed attack leaves the position unchanged. The objective is simple: reach and capture the opponent’s Fortress, represented by their first circled symbol. FORTEVIA is designed to be quick to learn, easy to print, and playable almost anywhere. All you need is a sheet of paper, a pencil, and a d6.
