About the game

What you do in a play session

Four Against the Netherworld: A Supplement for Four Against Darkness is the upgrade you need to push your campaign into levels 6 to 9. It’s not a standalone; you’ll need the base game Four Against Darkness and, for even deeper content, Four Against the Abyss. The supplement introduces five new classes—Demonologist, Cambion, Cleric of Zur, Cleric of Foryos, and a revamped Paladin—each reshaping how you play. It also delivers a full economic system for the Netherworld, with gold tables, items, and trade that bring the underworld economy to life. For explorers, you’ll love the hex‑based exploration rules, multiple terrain types, and a downloadable color map you can print. Wizards get six new spells, and combat monitors receive fresh reactions like Burn Souls, Capture, Conversion, Demonic Pact, Mercenaries, and Demand Obeisance. Plus, encounter and event tables spawn deadly monsters, including randomly generated Lovecraftian aberrations. The game stays a Print & Play, but adds layers of strategy and narrative that enrich the experience. If you’re already on the Four Against Darkness trail and crave more challenges, this supplement is what you need to elevate your group to new heights of horror and heroism.
