About the game
What you do in a play session
In Galaxy's Edge, you take on the role of a flagship commander, navigating the fringes of the known galaxy to claim and colonize resource-rich star systems. Expansion can be achieved through rapid, peaceful occupation, but don't be fooled: you'll need to utilize your military resources to seize enemy outposts and defend your own. Although this is new territory for you and your rivals, various alien species inhabit these newly charted sectors. Earning their loyalty will be crucial in determining who dominates the Galaxy's Edge! The main objective is to accumulate the most points by the end of the game. Most of these points come from building colonies in star systems of varying values. Bonus points can be earned by winning the favor of alien species, provided you meet their specific requirements. Throughout the game, you'll need to support your colonization efforts with military strategy, which in turn will allow you to conquer valuable opposing colonies and thus score more points. Obtaining and maintaining alien loyalty will be an important factor in determining the winner, and the diverse Event cards can be used to advance your goals in various ways. Prepare for a space race where diplomacy, colonization, and conflict go hand in hand!
