About the game
Get ready to enter the world of Valhalla with Heroscape Master Set: Swarm of the Marro! If you love tactical battles where positioning is everything, this is your game. The real game-changer is the modular board: you stack and snap terrain tiles to create fully customized battlefields, with elevations that shift the combat dynamics. Moving up a level costs movement, but moving down is free — unless you fall from a height greater than your unit's height, which can cause damage (unless you land in water, of course!).

In this edition, the spotlight is on the Marro threat. Hidden in swamps and jungles, these venomous predators are emerging from their Hive to contaminate the world. The Hive is the centerpiece here, granting special powers to the Marro squads, making them a devastating force on the battlefield. The set comes fully equipped to start your adventures, featuring 24 detailed miniatures, including 7 Unique Heroes and 3 Marro Common Squads, plus 75 terrain pieces including new types like Swamp and Swamp Water.

Combat is intuitive and fast-paced: you roll attack dice based on your unit's card, and the opponent rolls defense dice. If skulls outnumber shields, wounds are inflicted. Once a unit's life reaches zero, it's removed from the board. To build your army, you can use a point system, alternating drafts with your opponent to keep things balanced, or use "pre-fab" armies if you want to jump straight into the action. The community is massive, so you'll find plenty of user-created maps, scenarios, and custom rules online to expand the experience indefinitely.
